For many of us, Christmas is a time of great joy. For families at the edge of homelessness, it can be a time of immense loss, hardship and trauma. Single moms, like Nikki, are particularly vulnerable during this season.
A Story of Housing
“My sister and I had really been struggling since losing our home. We were staying at a church with my two kids… The pastor had been letting us sleep on the pews overnight. A member of that church connected us with Network Tacoma and we were welcomed into their transitional housing program. Now we have an apartment to call home, beds to sleep on, and the daily help of our Network Family. We can’t thank you enough for your care and support - and the chance to rebuild our lives!” -Nikki
MORE THAN A HANDOUT
Thanks to your partnership with us, we’ve been able to bring Nikki and her family into our housing program, and to provide them with beds, furniture, and food. Our help does not stop there, however. Network Tacoma continues to walk alongside them every day with case management, relational support, and transportation and job related services; to help them work towards permanent housing and long term stability.
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, who came to be near to us, would you join us in also being near to the families we are helping through Network Tacoma…. both the ones with us now, and the next families to come that need our help?
